Isn’t SIFE for Business Majors?
Why Should I Join SIFE?
How Do I Join?
Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) is a multinational organization located on over 1,200 campuses in over 40 countries and seeks to develop servant leaders to foster a community empowered with the skills needed to succeed in a free-market economy. To achieve this, we design educational community outreach projects to help individuals and/or organizations to develop a better understanding of the principles of free enterprise and how to use this information to empower themselves to achieve their dreams. As a member of SIFE, you will help in deciding what projects to conduct, who to work with, how to coordinate projects, and how much tie to invest in them. Our projects focus on five key concepts:
Market economics
Success skills
Entrepreneurship
Financial literacy
Business ethics
Near the end of each academic year SIFE teams across the globe hold competitions starting at the Regional level to determine which teams have done the best job at educating the community on the five basis concepts. Teams give a 24 minute audio visual presentation to a panel of judges that come from national sponsoring companies. Winning teams are chosen and move on to the SIFE USA National Exposition. At the National Exposition, a National Champion is chosen to compete in the global competition—the SIFE World Cup. The SIFE World Cup has been held in London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Toronto and Paris.
SIFE is a completely independent organization, and welcomes students seeking on-campus involvement and the opportunity to serve the community. Best part is there are no dues associated with your participation.
